From Mindfulness to Meditation
The past 18 weeks we’ve practiced and shared techniques around mindfulness, being in the moment, breathing each breath as it comes and goes, and accepting the little gifts of time, like sitting at a red light, waiting at the doctors office, waiting in the deli line. Little gifts of time that give us a moment just to be and breathe.
The next six weeks, we will take our mindfulness lessons and transition to meditation.
Class will start with a circle or a group share with what’s going on, what we want to meditate on, and then we’ll move into our first meditation - the centering aspect as we welcome ourselves to the space. Approximately 10 minutes.
A brief break, physical shift and share and then into meditation for the remainder of class. Approximately 35 minutes.
This session will take us into the quietude of sitting, breathing, and being.
Expect prompts throughout, some readings, and guided meditations.
Come to all 6 sessions or pop in and out as your schedule and life allow.
