Strength and Strive
This yoga based conditioning practice includes repetitive, strength building movements to support your body’s endurance and stability thought your asana practice. We will focus on technical adjustments in your form that activate the muscle groups that support and protect your joints in static poses and in transition. Over time, building strength in various parts of the body will open doors to more confidently expand what you believe is possible in your asana practice.
Ground Level: New Practitioners and Beginners (breathing techniques, yoga philosophy, foundational posturing, proper alignment, learning the edge of your strength and flexibility, modifications using props) recommended for new to yoga students or those that enjoy this type of practice. It is suitable for everyone. Very enjoyable.
Level One: Gentle Yoga (breathing techniques, yoga philosophy, easy on joints, not a lot of muscle engagement, restorative/yin) recommended for new to yoga students looking for comfort and non strenuous practice. A great compliment to other levels.
Level Two: Beginner Yoga touching intermediate (breathing techniques, yoga philosophy, foundational posturing, proper alignment, flow, longer holds, learning to deepen your practice) recommended for students that have been practicing for at least 2 months and are looking for a slightly more physically challenging practice.
Level Three: Intermediate / Advanced (breathing techniques, yoga philosophy, intermediate posturing with proper alignment, flow, longer holds, deep connection with breath and movement) For students looking for a practice that will help you find your edge. 6 months of practice recommended but not required as you know your own level of fitness and concentration.
